Parts & Service Coordinator

Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide excellent customer service
- Order parts necessary for the shop to function effectively
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area
- Maintain shop tools and parts inventory; receive parts and capture any necessary notes regarding applicable warranty information
- Audit and Inventory parts to maintain inventory accuracy
- Ship/receive parts inventory
- Assist technicians in finding the correct parts needed to complete jobs in a timely manner
- Ensure technicians are up to date on status of parts once ordered
- Input parts warranty information into fleet management system and file warranty claims with vendors
- Assist Shop Foreman with work order management and work flow through the shop
- Assist Fleet Maintenance Coordinator in ensuring the fleet maintenance is being performed accurately and timely
- Enter or adjust technician time in software for repairs and service jobs
- Input repair order information in software and close repair orders
- Ability to build hoses
- Ability to work alongside Shop Foreman, technicians, drivers and vendors
- Pickup/Deliver parts as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or other members of management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous time in the industry preferred
- Data entry and general computer skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Problem solver
- Positive attitude and ability to get along well with others
- Must be able to follow instructions in verbal and/or written form
- General mechanical knowledge preferred
- Drivers License
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to tolerate various environments; mostly inside, occasionally outside the shop
- Ability to lift objects of various dimensions and weights.
